The Carmelite Spiritual Center in Darien, Illinois, invites seekers to immerse themselves in the rich tradition of Carmelite spirituality through a series of upcoming retreats and workshops. For those seeking a creative outlet, “The Ocean of God’s Love” men’s writing retreat, inspired by the poet Rumi, will be held from June 27–29. The Center also hosts special events that blend tradition with reflection. “Remember Me: A Seder Meal” on April 15 and 17 offers a prayerful exploration of the Jewish roots of Christian tradition, led by Fr. Bob Colaresi. On April 18, “Good Friday – A Solemn Day of Prayer” provides a contemplative experience of the Way of the Cross, reconciliation, and communion. ​
