This article is a personal sharing of Fr. Larkin’s experience studying and teaching St. Teresa of Avila. The editor of the Sword invited Fr. Larkin to do an essay in her honor for the IV Centenary of her death (1582-1982). He reflected on his own story vis-a-vis Teresa, and [In his words] “the present personal witness and tribute resulted. It is one man’s experience with a great Saint of the Order.”
