"Carmel Teaches the Church how to Pray." - Pope Francis

Living Our Faith

If you have not yet spent time in the Living Our Faith section of Carmelites.net, it is well worth a visit. This area of the site currently highlights the following blog and podcast by Carmelite Friars.

Nuestro Pan de Cada Día – Spanish Language Audio Podcast
By Fray Filiberto

Fray Filiberto describes Nuestro Pan de Cada Día as a podcast project born out of a desire to proclaim God’s Word in a way that is close, deep, and full of hope. Through daily reflections on the Gospel, prayerful and pastoral reading is offered that connects Sacred Scripture with daily life, illuminating joys, struggles and decisions of our daily journey. It is a space to stop, listen to God, let oneself be transformed by his Word and renew one’s faith, always in the light of the Gospel and the maternal tenderness of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Praying Alone Together – English Blog (translations available)
By Fr. O’Sullivan

Fr. O’Sullivan describes Praying Alone Together as his dream late in life is to teach people how to pray. Mature prayer is not about what we want but what an all-loving God wants for us. It is a long journey between our desires and God’s desires. In the end, it is all about true love. Jesus will teach us the way. We learn about Jesus through deep personal prayer. This is what our blog hopes to help you accomplish, walking in love with Jesus.

Why is there no Saint Carmel
Carmelites sharing the unique spirituality of Carmelite Saints

The Carmelites of the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, in allegiance to Jesus Christ, live in a prophetic and contemplative stance of prayer, common life, and service.  Inspired by Elijah and Mary and informed by the Carmelite Rule, we give witness to an eight-hundred-year-old tradition of spiritual transformation in the United States, Canada, Peru, Mexico, and El Salvador, and Honduras.
