Il tempo non si ferma mai. Il nostro percorso con il Vangelo di Matteo sta volgendo al termine. Nelle prossime domeniche, le letture proposte metteranno in luce due aspetti: il conflitto di Ges\u00f9 con i capi dei Giudei e la Sua esortazione a scegliere la vita seguendo le Sue orme.<\/p>\n<p>Nel corso della storia della Chiesa, questi ultimi capitoli del Vangelo secondo Matteo sono stati travisati per alimentare un antisemitismo che ha costituito una terribile distorsione del Vangelo. Questa interpretazione errata del messaggio di Ges\u00f9 ha portato ad azioni riprovevoli, disumane e ingiuste nei rapporti tra ebrei e cristiani.<\/p>\n<p>Il messaggio fondamentale della parabola dei vignaioli omicidi ci invita a riflettere sulla necessit\u00e0 di prendere una decisione. Saremo buoni amministratori dei doni che Dio ci ha concesso? Stiamo vivendo il messaggio del Vangelo nella nostra famiglia? <b>Stiamo contribuendo alla nostra comunit\u00e0 per renderla pi\u00f9 vivificante per tutti?<\/b>? Stiamo rispondendo all\u2019invito ad agire con giustizia e ad essere strumenti di pace? Ci stiamo comportando in modo responsabile, senza sprecare i doni che ci offre l\u2019ambiente?<\/p>\n<p>Ges\u00f9 ci chiede di prendere una decisione. Accettiamo la Sua chiamata e il dono dell\u2019amore incondizionato? Siamo in grado di riconoscere che tutta la vita \u00e8 un dono da custodire e coltivare? La chiamata alla gestione responsabile ci chiede di riconoscere la sovranit\u00e0 di Dio e la nostra realt\u00e0 di creature finite, perdonate, benedette e amate.<\/p>\n<p>Il brano del Vangelo di Matteo di oggi mette in luce il rifiuto della predicazione di Ges\u00f9 da parte dei capi d\u2019Israele. Ma dovrebbe anche suscitare in noi una domanda: il nostro modo di vivere non offre forse una sorta di complicit\u00e0 con quei vignaioli assassini? Possiamo chiederci: quale ruolo rivestono per noi la giustizia e la rettitudine nel giardino della nostra vita quotidiana? Matteo lo sottolineer\u00e0 nel famoso brano del capitolo 25 sui \u2019pi\u00f9 piccoli dei miei fratelli e delle mie sorelle\u201c. Ci viene detto che non sfamare i poveri equivale a rinnegare Cristo stesso. Questa mancanza di giustizia e di attenzione verso i poveri \u00e8 l\u2019opposto del donare la vita. Questo \u00e8 l\u2019omicidio del Figlio ai nostri giorni. Stiamo scegliendo la morte invece della vita. Il rifiuto del Figlio del padrone non era appannaggio esclusivo dei capi ebrei. Si protrae lungo tutta la storia.<\/p>\n<p>Il nostro compito \u00e8 quello di essere operai fedeli nella vigna della vita. Oggi ci\u00f2 ci chiama sia a prenderci cura dei poveri e degli emarginati, sia a tutelare il dono della creazione di Dio. Entrambi sono vittime di una grave negligenza. I poveri sono quasi sempre le prime vittime dei cambiamenti climatici e di altri abusi nei confronti della natura. <\/p>\n<p>Nel momento in cui siamo chiamati ad affrontare queste sfide travolgenti, siamo chiamati ad accogliere il Figlio. \u00c8 Ges\u00f9 che ci guider\u00e0 e ci condurr\u00e0 alla verit\u00e0 e alla libert\u00e0, che sono la vera fame dei nostri cuori. La gestione responsabile della vigna della vita diventa molto pi\u00f9 facile e chiara quando accogliamo il dono del Padre, Ges\u00f9 Cristo.<\/p>\n<p>Non siamo soli. Dio \u00e8 sempre con noi. Dobbiamo renderci conto che i nostri piccoli sforzi personali sono importanti. Essi apportano benefici alla societ\u00e0 in modi che spesso ci sfuggono. Allo stesso modo, rafforzano la nostra autostima, incoraggiandoci a non mollare la battaglia.<\/p>\n<p>Man mano che iniziamo a comprendere la sfida che il nostro ambiente ci pone, la maggior parte di noi dovr\u00e0 cambiare la propria concezione della creazione. La visione pi\u00f9 diffusa della creazione \u00e8 che Dio abbia creato il mondo, che esso fosse buono e che la storia finisca l\u00ec. <\/p>\n<p>Il nostro distacco dal Creato deriva da questa visione statica del Creato. La realt\u00e0, tuttavia, \u00e8 che il Creato \u00e8 dinamico. Il Creato \u00e8 pervaso dalla presenza di Dio. La *Laudato Si\u2019*, l\u2019eloquente riflessione di Papa Francesco sulla crisi ambientale, parla in modo eloquente di questa presenza dinamica di Dio nel Creato. Essa afferma che la violazione dell\u2019ambiente naturale \u00e8 un affronto diretto a Dio. Il disboscamento delle foreste e l\u2019inquinamento dei fiumi, dei laghi e degli oceani non sono atti neutri, ma violazioni dirette della presenza di Dio e del suo progetto per il creato. Vi \u00e8 un appello a una partecipazione responsabile nei confronti della natura, non a una violenta negazione di responsabilit\u00e0. Questo peccato contro il mondo naturale \u00e8 un peccato sia contro noi stessi che contro Dio.<\/p>\n<p>Il messaggio evangelico di Ges\u00f9 ci rende liberi di vedere sia con gli occhi del cuore che con quelli della mente. Gli insegnamenti di Ges\u00f9 ci incoraggiano a coltivare le virt\u00f9 che ci consentono di vivere in modo responsabile con ci\u00f2 di cui abbiamo bisogno, non con i desideri generati da un\u2019industria pubblicitaria multimiliardaria che sommerge la nostra vita quotidiana di falsit\u00e0. Questi sono i primi passi di un cammino volto ad aiutare l\u2019intera umanit\u00e0 a vivere una vita produttiva, sana e responsabile, che rispetti e nutra il dono della creazione di Dio.
