Ha visto di tutto: i ciechi che riacquistavano la vista, gli zoppi che camminavano, i demoni scacciati, i pani e i pesci e, naturalmente, il suo breve e sfortunato tentativo di camminare sull\u2019acqua e molto altro ancora.  Ora Ges\u00f9 pone la domanda:, <b>\u201cVoi chi dite che io sia?\u201d (Mt 16,15)<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/p>\n<div>Peter era pronto, o almeno cos\u00ec credeva.  <b>\u201cTu sei il Cristo, il Figlio del Dio vivente.\u201d (Mt 16,16)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Peter aveva ragione. Ges\u00f9 dice:, <b>\u201cNon \u00e8 la carne e il sangue che ti hanno rivelato questo, ma il mio Padre celeste.\u201d (Mt 16,17)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Ma ancora una volta, Pietro era quell\u2019espressione profondamente umana della zizzania e del grano, un misto di generosit\u00e0 e testardaggine. Nel paragrafo seguente, che costituisce il Vangelo di domenica prossima, Ges\u00f9 rimprovera Pietro con questa frase incisiva:, <b>\u201cVattene via da me, Satana!\u201d (Mt 16,23)<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Pietro pensava di aver raggiunto la meta, ma Ges\u00f9 dovette mostrargli un amore severo per fargli capire che erano solo a met\u00e0 strada. Pietro doveva cambiare. Doveva imparare a conoscere Ges\u00f9 come Colui che era in cammino verso Gerusalemme, un Messia sofferente e rifiutato. Pietro doveva rinunciare ai suoi sogni di potere, prestigio e privilegi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Tutti noi dobbiamo affrontare la stessa sfida quando ci troviamo di fronte alla domanda pi\u00f9 importante della nostra vita.  <b>Chi diciamo che sia Ges\u00f9?<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Come Pietro, vogliamo che Dio sia presente per i nostri bisogni, per i nostri progetti, per i nostri sogni.  In effetti, Dio \u00e8 con noi nelle nostre difficolt\u00e0, ma Dio vuole di pi\u00f9.  Come Pietro, dobbiamo maturare abbastanza da accettare Ges\u00f9 come Colui che, lungo la strada per Gerusalemme, rivela un Salvatore che soffre e muore.  Come Pietro, abbiamo notevoli difficolt\u00e0 ad accettarlo quando si tratta di prendere personalmente la nostra croce e seguire Ges\u00f9.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Scegliendo Pietro, Ges\u00f9 ha ovviamente scelto una persona piena di difetti ma anche di talenti, un grande mix di egoismo e altruismo. Ges\u00f9 fa lo stesso con tutti noi. Ognuno di noi ha il proprio ruolo speciale in questo grande evento che \u00e8 l\u2019avventura cristiana sulle orme di Ges\u00f9. A tutti noi sono state date delle chiavi fondamentali. Dobbiamo assicurarci di usarle per aprire le porte, anzich\u00e9 chiuderle, attraverso la testimonianza della nostra vita.<\/p>\n<p>Ges\u00f9 ci invita a seguirlo. Per farlo, dobbiamo pregare. Preghiamo per molte cose, ma non c\u2019\u00e8 dono pi\u00f9 grande che scoprire, attraverso la preghiera, che Dio ci ama.  Man mano che questa consapevolezza dell\u2019amore personale di Dio cresce nel nostro cuore, iniziamo gradualmente ad accettare Ges\u00f9 e il Suo piano, invece di imporre i nostri programmi. \u00c8 solo nel contesto di questa relazione d\u2019amore con Ges\u00f9 che possiamo davvero rispondere alla domanda pi\u00f9 importante della nostra vita: chi \u00e8 Ges\u00f9 per noi?<\/p>\n<p> A differenza di Pietro, non possiamo camminare e parlare con Ges\u00f9 in carne e ossa. Possiamo per\u00f2 leggere i Vangeli e pregare su di essi. Possiamo lasciare che quelle storie entrino nella nostra mente e nel nostro cuore. Questo ci condurr\u00e0 alla preghiera: una conversazione con qualcuno che sappiamo ci ama.  <\/p>\n<p>Questa preghiera sulla Scrittura \u00e8 una ricca tradizione della nostra fede cattolica che sta vivendo un rinnovamento ai nostri giorni. Si chiama \u201clectio divina\u201d. Si articola in quattro semplici passaggi. Innanzitutto, leggiamo il brano della Scrittura.  Lo meditiamo e riflettiamo su di esso per capire come si applica alla nostra vita e in che modo ci invita a cambiare.  Poi preghiamo. Si tratta di un dialogo con qualcuno che sappiamo ci ama e vuole farci capire cosa significhi per noi quell\u2019amore personale.  Infine, potremmo sentirci spinti semplicemente a riposare in silenzio alla presenza di questo Dio amorevole.<\/p>\n<p>Questa preghiera ci sar\u00e0 di grande aiuto nel rispondere alla domanda pi\u00f9 importante che ci troveremo ad affrontare nella vita. Chi diciamo che sia Ges\u00f9? La risposta giusta \u00e8 il frutto di una vita trascorsa in preghiera.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>In questo incontro, Ges\u00f9 affid\u00f2 a Pietro un compito che spetta anche a noi. Dobbiamo riconoscere Ges\u00f9. Dobbiamo credere in Lui. Dobbiamo guidare gli altri a condividere la nostra fede e il nostro impegno verso Ges\u00f9.
