Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation <\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"\"The Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) commission is an advisory\u00a0group of the\u00a0Provincial Council.\u00a0 It exists to help the Provincial Council implement Acts of the\u00a0Chapter, to raise consciousness, and provoke concrete action regarding issues of justice, peace, and integrity of creation.<\/p>\n

Current Project<\/strong>: Using Pope Francis\u2019 encyclical Laudato Si\u2019 <\/em>the JPIC commission, working with the Carmelite NGO, is seeking to raise the awareness of the entire Carmelite family to climate change and what we can do in response.<\/p>\n

On-Going Project:<\/strong>\u00a0 The JPIC commission reviews grant applications to the Carmelite Charity Fund and the Carmelite Human Development Fund and advises the Provincial Council whether to accept, to modify, or to reject the applications.\u00a0 Similarly, the JPIC commission gathers end-of-year reports from all grant recipients.<\/p>\n
